Phoenix Family Law is not a firm of solicitors and is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We provide administrative support and McKenzie Friend assistance based on lived experience of the family courts. We do not give legal advice.
If you are representing yourself in the family court in England & Wales, our support services give you practical, hands-on support — help completing court forms, organising your papers and preparing to speak for yourself — while you stay in control of your own case. Everything on this page is support: you remain the litigant in person throughout, and our free guides remain free.

What we don't do — on every tier
The same boundaries apply to all three tiers, without exception:
- We do not give legal advice.
- We do not represent you, and we do not attend hearings.
- You review, approve, sign and file all documents yourself.
- We never contact the court on your behalf.
You remain the litigant in person at all times. If you want advice on the law or representation in court, you need a solicitor or barrister — our free Do I Need a Lawyer? guide can help you decide.
How it works
1
Enquire
Get in touch through our contact page. No case details needed yet — just a safe way to reach you.
2
Free 15-minute fit call
We talk through what you need and whether we're the right fit. If free help would serve you better, we'll say so and point you to it.
3
Engagement letter & cooling-off
You receive a plain-English engagement letter setting out exactly what's included, the fixed fee and your 14-day cooling-off right.
4
Work begins
At your pace, on your terms. Sessions are arranged around times that are safe and workable for you.
If your documents go over your tier's page cap, we'll pause and suggest the next tier before any extra work is done — there are no surprise charges, ever.
Your 14-day cooling-off right, and how to use it, are set out in our Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy, which apply to every engagement and are provided with your engagement letter.
Free help is also available
